Feature gap analysis for The Howard Hughes Corporation

Role: Lead User Experience Architect

Outline feature gaps for the migration of 7 master plan community websites onto The Howard Hughes Corporation’s digital platform. Design a standard approach for the websites to align the experiences and reduce the technical debt.

Analysis

I worked closely with an SME of the digital platform’s capabilities to step through each of the 7 websites, categorizing each feature by whether it was (a) currently supported, (b) could be supported by enhancing an existing component, or (c) was an altogether new feature.

Design

Parallel to the analysis, we defined common page types for the master plan community websites and designed templates that could help to unify the experiences for all 7 websites.

Page wireframes for the desktop breakpoint, includes the Residences main and sub pages, as well as the site home page

Timing

The analysis and designs were completed over the course of a few weeks.

Outcome

We surfaced 73 features in total across the 7 websites. Out of the 73 features, 46 could be standardized and shared across the websites, leaving 27 unique features for The Howard Hughes Corporation to assess and determine the priority of. Yay!
